PALIN = BIDEN - STARBURSTS?

A teaser for a column at Tucker Carlson's Daily Caller:

(Full column here.)

Har-har-har! And yet, if we were informed one day that Sarah Palin absolutely adores Hot Pockets, or that some member of her family does, would that surprise you? And if it were true, wouldn't any liberal sneering or snark about said fact be condemned as unconscionable elitism?

And while the millionaire Palins certainly don't need to avail themselves of used furniture these days (and bedbugs probably wouldn't survive in the cold on the streets of Wasilla), would it surprise you to be told by Palin apologists that, in their struggling early days, Sarah 'n' Todd had availed themselves of used furniture from the streets? And might even still have a piece of that old junk tucked away in their house somewhere, because they really like it? Which would be yet another sign of their "genuineness"?

It seems to me that there are a lot of similarities in the public images of Palin and Biden -- the verbal gaffes, the volubility -- and yet the one who's actually smart and experienced and well-informed and not nasty is the one who's regularly mocked by the media, and, these days, the other one is mostly praised.
